tree one minutes
Trees bind the world with their leaves and branches and roots. Leaf by leaf, and tree by tree,
in different landscapes and different countries, their beauty and variety shine through.
And shine through in 60 seconds of video. This will be a trip around the world, a tribute, a visual poem, for the trees and for us. Because whoever looks closely at a tree grows in awareness.

Send us your own manifesto
for maintaining the earth’s treasures.

These Tree One Minutes will form a collective video artwork, under creative commons license CC BY NC ND, part of the cultural manifestation Make a Forest marking the UN’s International Year of Forests 2011.

60 seconds, with no credits this time (we will include them at the end of the collaborative artwork).
Deadline 1 December.
Find all you need to apply at participate.

A preview was shown at the Dutch Design Week Eindhoven (22-30 October 2011), in a temporary forest built by designers and organised by Make a Forest partner, MU gallery.

In December the final curated Tree One Minutes artwork will be shown across the globe: in San Francisco, Santa Fé, Amsterdam, Exeter, Taiwan, Zagreb, St. Etienne, and 20 other Make a Forest cities.
