about
oneminutes jr.
The oneminutesjr. is an international, arts-based initiative that gives 12-20 year-old youth, especially those who are underprivileged or marginalised, the opportunity to have their voices heard and to share their ideas, dreams, anxieties and opinions. The oneminutesjr. process equips young filmmakers with the fundamental skill of self-expression that is needed to participate fully in society.

Consists of the interactive oneminutesjr website, a yearly festival competition, workshops across the world, video broadcasting on ten European public TV channels, and screenings at festivals and events. And this is only for now... As we involve more partners and explore new ways of getting the oneminutesjr videos out there, the network will continue to expand.

If your organisation is interested in joining, then contact Anja Masling anja@theoneminutesjr.org

The oneminutesjr. is truly an international intiative: since its inception in 2002, more than 2000 youngsters from 93 countries have taken part. The videos produced not only reflect personal dreams of the individuals, but also social issues and realities that face the youth, their communities and their society. Each video is a viewpoint on its culture and, in the larger picture, on the world.
